Protectors of the Andes
We invite you to get acquainted with the Guardians of the Andes. Ancient mythology offers many beautiful stories about the positive contribution of demons to Peruvian culture. The Spirits protect nature, contact with the higher realms, or the world of the ocean and the sea.
The paintings of Taita Inti (Father Sun) and Mama Killa (Mother Moon) depict the primal forces of the Andes: the masculine and feminine energies that together maintain the balance of life. These works evoke the wisdom of the ancestors and remind us of the deep
interconnectedness between man, nature, and the cosmos. At the same time, they form a prayer for peace,
harmony and justice for the earth and for all beings that inhabit it.
